The children, parents and staff of Howe Green House School participated in a series of events around school on the 10th October to mark World Mental Health Day. The school day began with the weekly food bank collection, followed by an exercise class for parents in our outdoor classroom. Children and teaching staff enjoyed a Zumba class in the school hall, whilst our younger children in the pre-prep and nursery took part in teddy bear races.
As part of afternoon lessons, each year group took part in mindfulness sessions. Wellbeing and taking the time to look after one’s mental health is taken seriously at Howe Green House School. The activities around school on World Mental Health Day focussed on creativity, being active, mindful and connecting with others.
