Opening Hours
The nursery is open 7.45am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday over three terms. We follow the school term calendar and we are closed for half terms, Easter, Christmas, Summer holidays and all Bank Holidays.
Session Times
- Breakfast Club – 7.45am – 8.45am (includes breakfast)
- Morning Session – 8.45am – 11.45am
- Lunch – 11.45am – 12.45pm
- Afternoon Session – 12.45pm – 3.45pm
- After school Club – 3.30pm – 5.30pm (includes snack)

Free Early Education Entitlement
We offer a limited number of FEEE-funded places during our 12.45 – 15.45 afternoon sessions which can be used as part of the 15 hours of free childcare. We do not offer the extended 30 hours of free childcare. For further information on fees or funding, please contact our Bursar, Sally Parlane at sally.p@howegreenhouse.org.
Moving on from Little Oaks
At the age of four, many of our Little Oaks join the Howe Green House Reception class alongside friends they have made at the nursery. For those who do so, and for those who choose to move elsewhere, we work hard to ensure they are ready for the transition and that they settle happily into school life. In their final weeks with us before joining Reception, we ensure they begin to build the foundations for the next stage of their Early Years learning journey. We do this by gradually increasing time spent on Phonics, reading, maths and writing. As a result, we find the children leaving us have already put in place some of the key fundamentals for first year at school before they even join their new class.
